Palm Sunday | March 20th | 10:00am
Good Friday | March 25th | 7:00pm
Easter Sunday | March 27th | 10:00am
The Easter season is the most important time of the year for the Church because it is when we remember and celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. These historical events are the absolute bedrock of Christian faith. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15, “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
During the Easter season, we will have three important services at Hope Church. The first service is Palm Sunday, when we celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Palm Sunday is March 20, and our service will begin at our regular time of 10:00am. The second service is Good Friday, when we remember the crucifixion of Christ. Our Good Friday service will be Friday, March 25 at 7:00pm. We will meet for approximately one hour, and will not provide childcare.
The third service is Easter Sunday, and it is the culmination of what some Christians call “holy week.” Easter is the day that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and his victory over sin and death. It will be a wonderful and joyful service, which will begin at our regular weekend service time of 10:00am.
You are welcome to attend any or all of our Easter season services. We would love for you to join us as we worship our crucified and risen Savior, Jesus Christ.
