Westerville Alliance Church is about to become Hope Church. But this is more than a name change. This is not some cynical marketing ploy. This is the culmination of two congregations becoming one in order to better advance God’s kingdom in central Ohio. This is about doing whatever we have to do to see our community transformed by the resurrection hope of Jesus Christ.
Two churches, one an established congregation with a half-century of ministry history, and the other a brand new church plant, are joining together to increase their effectiveness for the Gospel in the Columbus metro area. When each congregation realized that they could do far more together than they could alone, they knew that God was leading them to join together as one church.
We say, “hope is coming,” not because the people of Columbus can have hope because of us, but because we believe that God wants to share the resurrection hope of Jesus through our congregation. Hope is coming because God has given each of us the gift of experiencing eternal life through faith in Christ. Hope is coming because Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death through his death and resurrection. Hope is coming because Jesus himself is coming back someday.
We are excited about what God is doing in our midst. We are even more excited to see what God is going to do through us. We are stronger together than we are alone – that’s just as true for churches as it is for individuals. Hope is coming, and we’d love for you to experience it. Join us for Sunday morning worship at 10:00AM, or contact the church office with any questions you may have.
