One thing that you’re going to hear repeated again and again at Hope Church is the phrase, “love God, love others, share hope.” This is our DNA. It’s what we want to be about. It’s what we want to do.
The primary way in which we “love others” is through Life Groups. Life Groups are groups of 10 to 15 people who gather together to learn about God, pray for one another, and encourage one another in their faith. These groups typically meet one evening per week in homes across central Ohio. Check out our Life Group directory to see if one of our Life Groups is meeting near you!
What Can I Expect at a Life Group?
Life Groups are very casual in nature. The primary objective during our time together is relational: to love one another as we grower closer to Christ. Though there will be material that each group will be studying, our small groups are not classroom environments. Instead, they happen in living rooms, kitchens, and backyards. Life Groups happen where life happens!
At Hope Church Life Groups you can expect to meet other people just like yourself: imperfect people who don’t always have the right answer, and who don’t always do the right thing. We all struggle. We all suffer. None of us gets it right all the time. Together, though, we can love each other, and encourage one another to follow Jesus well.
Do I Have to Commit to a Group Right Away?
No. Definitely not. We don’t expect anybody to commit to a group before they’ve had the opportunity to experience it. We understand that there’s no such thing as a “one size fits all” Life Group, so we encourage you to check out different groups until you find one where you feel most at home. Our Life Group leaders aren’t competing with one another to have the biggest group – they are all committed to each person at Hope Church connecting to the group where God will meet that person and help him or her grow in the faith. Feel free to contact the group leader before you attend to get a sense for what that group is like.
How Do I Get Connected to a Life Group?
The easiest way to get connected to a Life Group is to check out our Life Group directory and contact the leader of the group that seems like the best fit for you. Or, you can email Pastor Andy and he will personally help you find a group.
Please, don’t try to live the Christian faith alone. Jesus never intended for us to follow him in isolation. Instead, he wants us to join a community where we can love God, love others, and share hope with the world.
