5 Marks: Sharing Your Story

We continue our series, 5 Marks of a Healthy Disciple, with the fourth mark: A disciple proclaims God’s grace by sharing the story of what He has done for them. Evangelism can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be. It can be as easy as telling a story. In this message, pastor Andy and his wife, Breena, encourage you to testify about what God has done in your life. Sharing your story is a more personal, and less intimidating, way to tell others about Jesus.

Drawing on their experience of sharing God’s grace and hope in the midst of their greatest trial – losing their son Ezekiel to Batten Disease – Breena showed how powerful your personal testimony can be. Sharing your story demonstrates how personal God is, and how he has sustained you, redeemed you, and changed you. It all starts with writing your story out. You have to know your story in order to tell it to others! After that, share it with people you trust. This would be a great exercise for life groups. We do this because our stories aren’t just for us; they are a powerful way to usher people into God’s family. Our stories of God’s grace are powerful reminders of the great story, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Everyone has a different story! But with the same result, saved!
    Praise God!
