Kids Ministry at Hope Church

At Hope Church our kids (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way. We learn Bible lessons, practice prayer, and play fun games to reinforce what we talk and share through Scripture. We would love to have you and your kids visit the HopeKids ministry!

Your first visit

Here's what to expect when visiting HopeKids for the first time:

First, find the check-in area marked for first-time families. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will show you where their age-appropriate classroom is located.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

Our Check-in volunteer will then show you where the sanctuary is that host the worship service in. HopeKids join the whole church family for the first half of the service, and are then excused to their classes before the message. First-time parents are welcome to follow their little ones to their classes to see where they will be and get settled, but then encouraged join the rest of the church family for the message.

How check-in works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at the manned check-in desk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, our volunteers will text you on the provided phone number. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Cry Room

Hope Church offers childcare during service for infants. But we also have a Cry Room that is available for mothers and fathers with infants. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.

Meet our Interim HopeKids Director

David Long joined the Hope Church staff team in 2021 as the Director of Communication. Being called into greater vocational ministry, the elder team invited David to come on full-time as the discipleship director in May 2022. When David is not in the service on Sunday Mornings, he's hanging out with the preschoolers... the HopeKids volunteer team felt he fit best among like-minded people...

"At Hope Church, we want your kids to have a blast learning about Jesus in a safe atmosphere." - Grace Burton, Director of HopeKids Ministry
