How We Are Led

Leadership at Hope Church

Hope Church is an interdependently-led church. That means it’s not one person making decisions or doing the work of leading a church, a whole team shares the burden of making decisions, carrying out the work God has called us to, holding each other accountable to that work and the standards by which it’s carried out, and training up others to be leaders and disciple-making disciples. We believe this is how we can best carry out our vision to be a church-planting church!

Our leadership is structured this way:

Elder Board

Leadership & Admin Teams

Ministry Teams

The Elders provide overall leadership for Hope Church. Elders are nominated by a Nominating Committee of Hope Church members selected every year and then elected by the congregation at the Annual Meeting. Elders are elected for a term of two years, and can serve two terms consecutively. Elders then appointment members of Hope Church to the Leadership and Admin teams.

The Leadership Team advises the elders and help implement relational ministry; that is, anything having to do with managing people and ministry. The Admin Team manages the resources of Hope Church; that is, the finances, building and space Hope Church uses.

Our leaders for 2021 are:

  • Phil Arnt – Pastor, Chair of the Elder Board, Admin Team
  • Lou Formen – Elder, Vice Chair of the Elder Board
  • John Spiegel – Elder, Admin Team Lead
  • Grant Margraff – Elder
  • Lynette Lovelace – Leadership Team
  • Brittney Mize – Leadership Team
  • David Long – Staff, Leadership Team
  • Danielle Formen – Staff, Admin Team
  • Abby Hughes – Admin Team
  • Ken Lovelace – Treasurer, Admin Team

If you have a question about our leadership structure, want to know more about our team, our have an issue you want the leadership to address, please send us an email and let us know!
